After the Storm

OK. The conditions were awesome on Saturday, and we had our busiest day of the season. With 100% of our trails open, some good tree skiing and the Slide Brook Express Quad running, we handled the busy day really well. I think the mood at aprés reflected the great time everyone had. Unfortunately, some rain came in around 3 PM from mid-mountain down, and the lower mountain was firm and fast Sunday morning. The upper mountain was a different story and continued to ski well. My favorite trail of the day was Sunrise.
Once again, our groomers went into action overnight on Sunday but did not get on the hill until the second shift (waiting for temps to come down) so conditions on Monday were not great. A second night of two-shift grooming made a big difference, and I enjoyed some fun runs at both Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen Tuesday. A third night got us ready for what was a really nice $14 Valentine’s Day. My favorite run that day was a freshly groomed Stein's.
This morning also skied really well, with warmer temps lending themselves to some fun early morning groomers down Stein's and Snowball.
Looking forward to the weekend, we anticipate some fresh snow tomorrow and two really nice days over the weekend. Over the next ten days, we have numerous events planned for all members of the family, including, of course, the family dog.
