Where We're Going
Our Purpose
It is to enable our guests to relax, have fun and further excel at what they love doing.
Our Vision
It is to become the leading four season resort in the Northeast where families and individuals of all ages can dream, discover, explore and thrive as they pursue their own adventures in our beautiful, authentic Vermont mountain and valley environment.
Our Principles
1). Our guest’s interest comes first
2). Respect for individuals
3). Teamwork
4). Community involvement
5). Fiscal responsibility
When we purchased Sugarbush in 2001 from the American Ski Corporation, we knew that we were not just buying a resort, we were buying a precious legend. Damon and Sara Gadd started something special in 1958, and it is our goal to keep this legend alive and well.
Sugarbush does not stand alone. It is part of a very special place – The Mad River Valley. I first came here in college in the winter of 1969-1970 and for the past twenty years my family has loved nothing better than coming to the Valley, skiing the slopes of Sugarbush and enjoying the many other wonderful things to do here during all four seasons.
Now as an owner, I feel a special obligation to preserve the tradition we inherited, to preserve the beauty of our natural environment, to respect the authenticity of the Valley’s historical villages and yet give our guests the modern conveniences that they expect. We know that we have some of the best skiing and riding terrain anywhere, and we are committed to providing the right balance between the steep and the deep natural terrain and beautifully groomed corduroy trails. We are committed to ensuring that our Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Golf course is maintained as it was designed. We are committed to constructing more new and more convenient lodging on the mountain that fits with the aesthetics of what we have inherited from our predecessors.
Most importantly, we are committed to placing our guest’s interest first and making sure that we are a place where all of our guests feel appreciated at all times.
Sugarbush is already a great resort, but we are committed to making it better.
