Title: Ski and Ride Instructors

Summary

The Sugarbush Ski & Ride School is seeking ski and snowboard instructors for the 2014-15 season to work is each of our various teaching programs. We are looking for enthusiastic instructors and coaches that are dedicated to bettering their own skills while sharing their passion for snow-sports with others. Full and part time positions are available.

Responsibilities

Our instructors: - Teach guests in a safe, supporting and fun way. Our teaching methods are based on the standards of the *Professional Ski Instructors of America. Continued personal Professional Development by all of our staff is a must! Our focus is on having fun while improving technique, give terrain and equipment advice, and manage risks through the Skier's Responsibility Code: - Assist with other recreational service responsibilities such as guest check in, guest service, etc. - Attend regular training sessions for development of skill, teaching technique and information sharing.

Requirements

While we have a preference for applicants with experience teaching skiing and riding, we welcome applicants who are new to ski and snowboard teaching. Candidates must be capable intermediate skiers and riders at a minimum; each must have the skills to communicate their love of skiing and riding and must demonstrate a willingness to teach, learn, and have fun with a wide range of guests and staff. A team-oriented, welcoming and professional personality is a necessity. Preference is given to instructors with PSIA /AASI certification and to new instructors with transferable experience teaching and coaching in the outdoors.
