Title: Mountain Operations Dispatcher

Type: Full and Part Time Seasonal


Dispatchers serve a vital role in mountain operations by efficiently facilitating the resort’s routine and emergency communication systems. This highly responsible position maintains clear and accurate information exchange between departments across the resort.


This position will coordinate and conduct a wide range of daily dispatch functions including: ensure proper operation of the company's radio systems; monitor and dispatch radio transmissions; handle operations communications for ski patrol, lift operations, and lift maintenance personnel; coordinate responses to mountain emergencies, including ski accidents, lift failures, deteriorating weather conditions, and the like; clear, open, and close ski lifts and trails; transmit a variety of daily operations information among departments; prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to dispatch and Mountain Operations.


Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and have obtained a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency degree (BA or BS preferred). Must possess the ability to converse comfortably and clearly with many different people, handle all dispatch communications in a courteous and efficient manner, and accurately respond quickly and calmly in coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously relative to emergency dispatch communications. Previous radio communications and/or mountain operations experience desirable. Good computer and organizational skills are essential.
