Responsibilities

This position involves performing a wide range of childcare duties with the utmost attention to safety and supporting a child's development. Caregivers entertain, educate, encourage, and care for many children (6 weeks and up) in a safe and positive environment. Duties also include positively addressing children's physical and emotional needs and facilitating cooperation and communication. Addressing behavior problems and disciplining of children is conducted according to strictly established guidelines. Caregivers plan, organize, and carry out arts, crafts, and other engaging activities while balancing the needs of various children.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have completed a High school or equivalency degree. Prior childcare/education training/experience is desirable but the right personality may be trained accordingly. Applicants must be able to move, lift, and carry children up to 50 lbs. Also must be able to pass the State Background check. Additionally, all caregivers must possess positive communication skills with children and be effective in carefully watching and tending to the children's needs. As our busiest periods are on the weekends and holidays, caregivers may be expected to be available to work during these times.
