Summary

Sugarbush Resort is now hiring an experienced cook to join our team. Our kitchens are professionally run by dedicated and skilled culinary enthusiasts. Come work with our team as we prepare the finest foods, offering our guests a phenomenal dining experience with often unique and local flair.

Responsibilities

· Always with the best presentation in mind, Cooks prepare food to standards of the highest quality in a timely and efficient manner. · Set-up stations according to kitchen guidelines, safety standards, and dining event needs. · Sanitize station for food preparation and more thoroughly when closing out at end of shift. · Communicate effectively with chef/cooks/waitstaff to ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness. · Work cooperatively, efficiently and effectively as part of a dedicated and dynamic team. · Continually develop cooking skills/methods and master a variety of cuisines. · Conduct other duties as assigned by kitchen manager/chef where needed.

Requirements

At least 6 months of cooking experience with good knife/equipment skills and safety knowledge. Adherence to all safety and sanitization/hygiene standards is essential. Must be able to succeed in an often fast-paced environment, have a demonstrated ability to actively work as part of a team, and be able to work standing in a confined area for extended periods of time. Requires ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. Timeliness and reliability are absolutely essential, as is availability to work weekends/holidays.
